Los Angeles-based songwriter GABI JR has announced their debut record light shine on you, out Friday, October 23rd, 2026.

GABI JR's debut 12-song album weaves through folk foundations, whirring machines, and their self-proclaimed genre of “sensitive rock.” With the bulk of the songs recorded in a live room on to two-inch tape as a trio composed of long time friends and collaborators Omar Akrouche (Worthitpurchase, Rolemodel), Blue Broderick (Diners, Judy), and Gabi Manning. With additional lead guitar appearances from Meg Duffy (Hand Habits, Perfume Genius) and Colson Miller (Bonny Doon, Neu Blume).

GABI JR having previously predominantly relied on sharing their music via performing to a live audience, cherry picking what songs they recorded and released to the public. They rallied bandmates to make a list of favorite songs from the past couple of years and convene to record them, officially, to make a purposeful full-length album and join the conversation of recorded music.
